Math Homework:
Monday -Thursday My Review and Math Fluency
*Complete every other problem (alternate between evens and odds) on the worksheets that will be coming home in the green folder on Tuesday.  Please check your child’s work for ACCURACY.
*Practice your math facts (addition and subtraction) regularly by utilizing any of the math facts activities listed here:
*NEW*!  As part of your Math Facts Activities, include practice of your Addition Strategies Flash Cards.

This week we will be reviewing for our test on Chapter 4 Subtraction Strategies. so the homework pages will reflect this. Please review what your student has been working on and the strategies they can use such as Counting down/up, Addition and Subtraction Fact Families, Number Lines and making Tens. IF YOU HAVEN’T PRINTED OFF THE FLASH CARDS THAT WERE POSTED IN AN EARLIER BLOG POST, NOW WOULD BE A GREAT TIME TO DO SO AND PRACTICE THEM NIGHTLY WITH YOUR STUDENT. You can turn them into a fun NIGHTLY GAMING routine.

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE SAME ASSIGNMENTS THAT WE STARTED LAST WEEK.  I posted the links for the reading and spelling forms just in case any of you needed them, however there is no need to reprint them if you have already last week, please continue to practice them.  Students will be tested this Friday on the following spelling words.  Again….Please turn in ALL homework Friday, January 22.

***REMEMBER that in order for your student to pass off a “Baggy Book”, they must have fewer than 2 mistakes per book or 3 per chapter. Please be sure to sign the “Baggy Book” log when your student has successfully mastered each book/chapter.
