I love to read!!!

2. Reading 20 minutes or more per day
RECORD YOUR READING EVERY DAY YOU READ ON YOUR  “BOOK IT”  READING LOG located in your green folder.

There are several sources for reading: “Reading for all Learners” also known as”Baggy books” from school, books from home or the public library and our online reading program Raz-Kids Our class Raz-Kids login is: dvella0 (that’s a zero)

***REMEMBER that in order for your student to pass off a “Baggy Book”, they must have fewer than 2 mistakes per book or 3 per chapter. Please be sure to sign the “Baggy Book” log when your student has successfully mastered each book/chapter.

3- Reading Fluency.  Mrs. Hills/Tiecherts’s  class average on the reading fluency pages has skyrocketed from 21 words per minute at the beginning of the year to a class average of 83 words per minute to date.  Way to go, readers!
I would like to see a bigger jump in our class as well. The ONLY  way that will happen is if everyone is practicing READING more.  Don’t forget about reading comprehension too! Understanding what you are reading is just as important!!!
