Yearbooks and Chromebook Returns
Hi Parents,
All SEPs and report cards will be mailed home, so no need to come pick those up from the school.
All your student’s personal items have already sent home, so no need to come to Quest for that.
Yesterday there were still a few yearbooks available for purchase. You can call the office or purchase them on line.
If you ordered a yearbook, no need to come in and pick them up as I will be delivering them personally Thursday afternoon/evening so I can say good bye to all the kids.
If you borrowed a Quest device, it will need to be returned on Tuesday or Wednesday between 7:30AM to 5:30PM. Below are procedures for returning Chromebooks:

Daily Monday Madness
- This week is going to look and be little different than in the past. There won’t be any instruction and I will be taking attendance as students join their respective “Pre-test Morning Meeting” instead of as a whole group at 9:00 like we have in the past.
- What does this mean: “There will be 2 different groups. Group 1 (stripes) beginning their assessment shortly after 9:00 when attendance has been taken, and group 2nd (dots) beginning their assessment shortly after 9:30 when attendance has been taken.
- Your student needs to be logged onto i-Ready and be ready to start their Math Diagnostic before just before 9 and 9:30. PLEASE DO NOT START the assessment until they have checked in with me, where I will take attendance and say ready, set, “go.” I will be timing them. Please let your student know that we will not be sharing until Thursday. I need the “Pre-test Meetings” to be super fast.
- I have gone over the reading assessments and look forward to going over both assessments when all students are finished.
- I know it’s hard to see your student struggle. Just know that these assessments are not for a grade. They are to help teachers and students fill in the wholes in students’ pathway to mastering each standard. If you help them in any way it does several things:
- 1… Their assessment results and pathway win not be a true measure of what they can do and what they should be working on. (I have a good idea of your student’s level of understanding and when the results are levels below or above I question the validity…Either they got help, became great guessers, or just clicked whatever and moved on LOL).
- 2… Their pathways will be way to hard when working on their lessons. This creates frustration and anxiety if it’s too hard or boredom if it’s way too easy. Biggest thing is that they aren’t really gong to be learning what they need to be.

Art and So Much More!
Today our class had the opportunity to do an art project together. It’s one I do every year because it incorporates math concepts they’ve been learning about and art. Two subjects we all love.
The other pictures are things the kids are excited about and love to share. Trying to keep our class connected is something I’m pretty passionate about, hence all the fun photos I have randomly posted. We have so many kids learning to ride bikes without training wheels, learning tricks on their trampolines, as well as discovering hidden talents they didn’t even know they had. They have become better readers and writers! I couldn’t be prouder of them and all that they have accomplished throughout all the crazy that’s been going on. Parents you also deserve a round of applause! I know this hasn’t been easy for any of you. I appreciate all your help and support, in addition to all the extra hours you have spent trying to navigate our new normal.
