About Me

Coach Roskelley

My name is Derick Roskelley and I grew up in Morgan, Utah.  I played baseball in Salina, Kansas after high school and pursued my Associates degree while traveling the Midwest.  I missed the mountains and fishing and transferred back to Weber State University.

I graduated from Weber State University in 2011, Majoring in Physical Education and Minoring in Health Promotion.  Following student teaching at Ogden High School, I bounced around the Ogden School District as a Health and Physical Education specialist at the Elementary level while coaching baseball at Ogden High School.  With a talented coaching staff we turned a 0 win team at Ogden High School into a .500 team in a tough Region 5 in four short years. Our countless hours of work were rewarded with the opportunity to coach the 2012 3A All-Star game at Lindquist Field.

I love coaching, teaching, and pushing students and athletes to become their best on and off of the field.  I enjoy teaching students how to compete properly and proper sportsmanship is an important part of my classroom management.

When not teaching or coaching I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, our two dogs and two cats.  We enjoy traveling in our 1984 Chevy Lindy motor home and spend many summer nights at Bear Lake.  I enjoy playing softball, barbecuing and watching a good baseball game, fly fishing all over the West, guiding and teaching older “students’ my passion, and tying and designing flies.                                                   12311232_10153089831385518_9291481579482221_n DCIM101GOPROGOPR5976.
