Week of October 29th- November 2nd

I hope you all had a fabulous Fall Break with lots of R&R!!  It was just what the doctor ordered!

Take note of the important upcoming dates:
**HALLOWEEN PARTY: Just wanted to give all parents a heads up about the Halloween Party on Wednesday, October 31st. The Halloween Parade will start at 9:00 am, and parents are welcome to come and enjoy. Our class will walk the halls of Q1 and Q2 in costumes. So, students will wear their Halloween costumes to school! 🙂 Please remember NO heavy face make-up, masks or weapons…I need to be able to recognize the kiddos. The classroom party will start at 10:00 and last until 11:30 (when the students go to recess and lunch). Parent volunteers are planning a Halloween party where donuts and cookies will be served. Please fill out the Food Permission Google form on the blog (from last week) to let me know you are okay with your child eating the foods given that day. It is an early out day with 1:30 dismissal. Please let me know if you have any other questions. We are all excited for Halloween Fun!!

**Thank you for all the moms that came to help dress the Apple Witches last week.  It was a huge job, and we all really appreciate your time.  Thank you also to the moms that spent time sewing dresses for our students as well.  The kids had a blast, and love their Apple Witches!
**Thank you to all that came out for Parent/Teacher Conferences.  I thoroughly enjoyed talking with all of you about your cute kids.
**Canned Food Drive from now until November 1st.

**Tuesday is Library, so the students need to bring their books back on that day.**

Homework:

Math:  Each student will need to get onto www.reflexmath.com and complete their “green light” Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (4 sessions).  I will teach the students how to login to the app/website.  Just in case they don’t remember, the class username is “waddell3” and all passwords are “rams”.

Reading:  Each student needs to read at least 20 minutes (Monday-Thursday).  Please print off the Reading Log, fill out the form and return on Friday.  The Reading Log can be cut into fourths and used over the next four weeks.  If for some reason, you can’t print it off, please write it on paper instead. 🙂
