LAST POST!!!

I can’t believe that tomorrow is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!  It’s seriously blowing my mind right now as I sit at home tonight…
As most of y’all know, I will not be returning to Quest next year.  Sadly, I will also be leaving the classroom.  I am going to Davis School District as a literacy teacher mentor.  What makes me the happiest is knowing that I ended a 15 year teaching era on the BEST CLASS EVER!  I thoroughly enjoyed all the big personalities in our class…we had tons of fun and laughed A LOT!  What makes me the saddest is not being able to see these kiddos throughout their elementary years.  I know they will all be successful in everything they do.  Whomever gets these kids next year are the luckiest!!  I will miss you all dearly!  Please know that these children made fingerprints on my heart, and I will love and remember them forever!!! Best wishes to you all! 🙂
Love,
Miss Waddell

p.s.  I hope to get the class play link on the blog tomorrow!  So, look for it!

**LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!!!!**

How do we only have 3 (HALF DAYS) of school left??  I can’t even believe the year is basically over and these kids are FOURTH graders now!!!  I will miss these little kiddos with everything inside of me!  These last few days are going to be seriously AMAZING!!!

This week will be full of RISE Math Testing.  Please make sure students are here at school this week on time.  We start first thing Monday morning.

Also, I would love to mention how important it is for all students to be present in school unless they are sick…and not checked out unless it’s very necessary.  We are practicing our play the last hour of the day, and we do it every single day until the performance.  I really appreciate your support with this!

**Tuesday is Library, so the students need to bring their books back on that day.**

Homework:

Math:  Each student will need to get onto www.reflexmath.com and complete their “green light” Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (4 sessions).  I will teach the students how to login to the app/website.  Just in case they don’t remember, the class username is “waddell3” and all passwords are “rams”.

Reading:  Each student needs to read at least 20 minutes (Monday-Thursday).  Please print off the Reading Log, fill out the form and return on Friday.  The Reading Log can be cut into fourths and used over the next four weeks.  If for some reason, you can’t print it off, please write it on paper instead. 🙂

**ATTN: DRESS REHEARSAL DATE CHANGE AND INFO!!**

The end of the year scheduling has been a crazy mess, so I had to change the date of our Dress Rehearsal to Wednesday, May 22nd at 9:00 a.m.  If you can’t make it to the actual performance on Tuesday, May 28th, you are more than welcome to come see our Dress Rehearsal.  Students need to have their costumes to school no later than Wednesday, May 22nd.  Thanks so much for all your hard work getting the costumes ready!  The kids have been working really hard and are super excited to perform “Alice’s Adventures With Idioms”!!!!

Week of May 13th-17th

Whew!!!  Last week was CRAZY!!!  We got all our DIBELS end of year benchmark tests done, and the kids did AMAZING!!!  We met together one on one to go over their individual data and celebrate!  We got through the first week of Language Arts RISE Testing.  We will do more make-up testing throughout this week.  No one finished after two sessions last week.  That means they are taking their time, which makes me very happy!!!

This is the last week that w
e are doubling up on math lessons everyday to fit in everything before testing begins.  Also, I would love to mention how important it is for all students to be present in school unless they are sick…and not checked out unless it’s very necessary.  We are practicing our play the last hour of the day, and we do it every single day until the performance.  I really appreciate your support with this!
