My Favorite Football Team!

All right my little friends here is the answer to the question you have asked all year long. “What is my favorite football team?”

I don’t have a favorite team. I don’t watch professional football, or college football, or high school football.

I do watch little league football.

So  I guess if I have to say my favorite team I would say Clearfield Thunder. 🙂

Henry plays defensive tackle but I always have to ask him what that means.

My favorite sport is swimming I know all about swimming. 🙂

I hope you have a fabulous summer. This blog will probably be pulled down in the next few days. I have set up another blog at themrsteacher.blogspot.com. You can follow me there.

I have enjoyed this year and know you are all going to be fabulous fourth graders. Happy Summer Everyone!

The Last Week!

Four more days until school is out for the summer. The end of the school year is full of fun and anticipation. This has been an amazing year with an amazing group of students. I almost want school to keep going. 😉

Below is a schedule for the rest of the week.

Tuesday: 1st Grade Opera in the morning. Ms. Waddell’s class performance in the afternoon

Wednesday: Q1 won the penny wars and it is a free dress down day. Class Award Assembly 2:15-2:45. This is for our class only and a way for me to acknowledge your child’s main accomplishment this year. Please feel free to come and participate.

Thursday: Third Grade Fun Day. We have a lot of fun activities planned for the third grade.

We will even be serving a pizza lunch. Don’t worry about sending lunch that day and if you have ordered a lunch please cancel. We are asking for parents to donate chips, apple juice boxes, and plates. Please send by Wednesday if you are able to donate. In addition to the lunch we will have a t-shirt signing students may bring a shirt of their choice or their apple field trip shirt, outdoor games, a movie, and end the day signing yearbooks.

Ms. Waddell will be hosting a book swap on Thursday for all 3rd graders. Students who want to participate can bring a gently used book to exchange for another book.

Please sign the permission slip below so your student may eat the lunch.

Friday: The last day of school and field day. POQA is asking all third graders to wear a green shirt that day. Students will need to bring a sack lunch and be prepared to spend the day outside.

It is going to be a super fun and busy week. I love that we get to have weeks like this for students to celebrate all of their hard work all year.

If you have any questions please let me know.

All Kinds of Happenings (Schedule for the Rest of the Year!)

First of all!
thCelebrate! Testing is complete. This year the year end test was new to the entire state of Utah. As teachers we weren’t sure what to expect. Now that everything is said and done I couldn’t be more proud of your kiddos. They put forth their best effort and tried their best. Scores for the year end test are not expected to be released until November. 🙂

Now that testing is over I wanted to give you a run down of the next 10 days. Yes! that’s right 10 days CRAZY!!!

5/16, Tomorrow, students will have an hour long read-a-thon in the classroom. They are allowed to bring books, blankets, and electronic reading devices. At the end of the day Ms. Young, a third grade teacher, will be with our kiddos. She is completing her master project. The information is in the permission slip below. If you haven’t had a chance to sign the slip please sign and return it tomorrow. I think this is a great opportunity for them to help someone succeed in school and also share their feelings about school lockdown drills.

Tuesday 5/20- We will be going on our final field trip. We will be taking the students to see Rio 2 at the Gateway Megaplex in Salt Lake City. All the information is included in the permission slip below. I sent a permission slip home tonight but just incase here is another copy.

Wednesday 5/21- We will get a chance to view the 1st grade’s opera. This is always a fun event for the older kids.

Friday 5/23- Talent Show Day!

5/29 The third grade team has planned a “Super Fun Filled Third Grade Celebration!” We have a day long celebration planned. The details and information are included in the permission slip below.

5/30- Our Final Day will be a field day. POQA is working hard to assure the kids have a fantastic day. They are asking that all third graders wear green shirts that day.

Wow! You made it to the bottom of this post! I know there is a lot to sign and a lot going on. I think it is really important to celebrate school and all the hard work the kiddos have put forth all year. Thank you for all you have done all year.

Lastly, I know that it has gotten out that I am leaving Quest at the end of the school year. I want you all to know that I have loved my time at Quest. It has been an amazing school, with amazing staff, parents, and most importantly students! I leave with a very sad heart. At the beginning of the year I would have never thought I would be leaving. Life and family have a different plan. I just wanted everyone to know how much I have loved your children this year it will be hard to say goodbye.
