School to Home Communication
Hello,
I can’t believe that the second week of school has ended. Your student has been hard at work! They are an awesome group of kids. Up to now we have been practicing homework and getting back into school mode. Next week we will start graded homework.
Guidelines for homework… Your child should not be spending more than 30 minutes a night doing homework. If homework is taking longer please let me know and we will make adjustments.
The 30 minutes does not include the 20 minutes of reading.
The majority of our homework will be done online. Reading will be logged online from our class website, math will be practiced on IXL, and writing will include discussion responses on our class website. Other homework will be printed from the class website, completed at home, and returned.
Quest’s emphasis on technology encourages parents, teachers, and students to use technology. It is important that you subscribe to our classroom blog. If you do not have internet access at home please let me know so that I can make adjustments to your child’s homework and send home communications that are posted on the website. If you have subscribed to the blog please make sure that you have verified the subscribe email.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful kids with me.
Have a fabulous long weekend!
Mrs. Hutchinson
