PS I had a great question about a third grade reading list. Third graders usually vary quite a bit in their reading abilities. Having one list that fits everyone would be impossible. I have my favorites, but my best recommendation for you is to let your child read what they like to read with a little push to increase the difficulty when the time is right. There is a great website called “What Should I Read Next?” You type in a favorite book and it suggest books that are similar. You can click on the hyperlink, or you can find the link on the side bar under language arts labeled, “Reading Suggestions.”
