I thought, after talking to a concerned parent and seeing how upset some of the kiddos were, I better explain the field trip situation a little bit better.
The Weber State planetarium holds 60 people. Two classes will be in the planetarium at the same time. All of the third grade classes have 27 students. Students will take up 54 seats, teachers will take 2, and that leaves 4 seats. This is the reason for only two volunteers per class. HOWEVER, if you are ok with STANDING in the planetarium you are welcomed to attend.
I will still draw names out of hat for the 2 spots. I will post them on the blog tomorrow and if you would still like to attend please let me know. 🙂 Please feel free to share your concerns and questions.
