Hello!

I hope everyone had a fantastic time on our field trip.  This week is a super short week. There is NO school Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The sad news is this means no word work homework. 🙁 The HAPPY news  is that we do have Reading homework tonight. 

Reading: Free Choice Reading, remember to log your reading minutes. Did you notice that I am logging my reading minutes too? I figured that I should earn the reading party too.

Word Work: Work on your spelling tic-tac-toe. Test tomorrow

Math: Today we started our subtraction unit. Tonights homework is looking at fact families. This math uses inverse operations. Can you tell your family what that means? Complete the worksheet below. This week is going to be a busy, busy, busy week.

A few things to remember this Friday is early out. This is not our usual early out Friday so don’t forget you munchkin 1:00 Friday.

Parent Teacher Conference. I am posting the latest PTC schedule. If you can’t make your time and have to reschedule please let me know.

Field Trip next Monday. Even though we will be eating at the school there is the possibility that we wont make it back in time for a hot lunch. Please pack your child a sack lunch and cancel their school lunch. Volunteers, Jake’s Mom and Destri’s Mom were drawn as our official volunteers. If you would like to come please keep in mind that you will have to stand during the planetarium portion of the field trip.

Finally, If you have already paid your field trip fee, thank you, thank you, thank you! If you haven’t there is still time please pay to the office as soon as you can.

PS We are working really hard to EARN our Halloween party. Each student has to earn 75 class Dojo Points to attend the parade. I give points for homework, on task behavior, good answers and doing their best. Unfortunately, I take them away for talking and off task behavior. We are working hard but please encourage your child to be on their best behavior.

Math: Complete the online math review, don’t forget to email me the results khutchinson@questac.org

(Parents since this is the first night I am attempting this type of Math homework. I will be sending an email response as soon as possible after I receive the homework. If you don’t hear from me please send me an email letting me know your child did the work. Be patient sometimes it takes a moment for the email to process. Leave the window open for a bit. Please encourage your child to work the problems out and not just guess. We will be having a chapter test tomorrow.)

Parents, I will be drawing names out of hat tomorrow for the field trip. Thank you so much for volunteering to come. As I mentioned before we are trying to go on a total of 4 field trips this year so hopefully everyone will have a chance to volunteer. Please remember to pay your 10.00 field trip fee to the office. This fee will assure we have the budget to go on all the field trips. We are trying to be as frugal as possible. Thank you for all you do to support me and your munchkin.
