Hello,
We have officially completed our year end testing! As a class we jumped and cheered as the last student finished. For your information we do have year end benchmarking to complete. Students will take a final Star Math, Star Language Arts, and Dibels math test next week. The week after that they will take their final benchmark Dibels fluency test. In addition to final benchmark testing we will be working on a power point presentation, a book report, and lots of fun science activities. So much going on and in 10 minutes there will officially be 18 days of school left. Thank you for sharing your amazing kids with me. ๐ I’m going to miss them like crazy this summer.

Hello!
Just a reminder that our Math end of the year test is Tuesday and Wednesday 9:30-10:30. I have received back the students raw ELA scores and they did a wonderful job. I have whole class of smart and talented students. I know that they will do equally as well on their math test. Thank you for sharing such awesome kids!!!!

Hello,
Tonight students who have not completed their writing in class will need to finish their writing for homework. If you have any questions let me know.
Please remember that we will meet at the FrontRunner station in Roy at 8:15am on April 22 and we will return about 3 p.m. Students need to bring a lunch and a back pack to carry their lunch. They are responsible for their lunch for the day so please pack something light.
We will have one more day to complete our Language Arts test. Tuesday, April 23rd at 12:00. Thank you for sending your child ready for their test.
Thank You,
Mrs. Hutchinson

Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to go on our field trip to Thanksgiving Point. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving point limited the number of adults we could bring with us to 5 per class. This is to insure they have the room to present the material to the students. I placed the names of the students whose parents volunteered into a bucket and drew them out. The studentsโ names I drew were:
Aiden
Oakley
Avery
Joey
Jantz
We have two more field trips during May. We will be going to the Ogden Nature Center and we will need five chaperons. The second field trip will be to the Apple Store and there is no limit on the chaperones. Field trips cannot accommodate younger siblings. Thank you so much for your willingness to volunteer. Priority for the Ogden Nature center will be given to the parents who were not drawn for Thanksgiving Point.
Thank You,
Mrs. Hutchinson

I am so sorry. Somehow I have managed to loose all of the permission slips that were turned into me last week. I am positive I put them in a safe place. The only problem is I can’t find my safe place. If you could please take a second and re-sign and return them I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for putting up with your absent minded teacher.

Just a quick note. I have sent home spring pictures if you do not want the pictures please send them back. If you would like to keep the pictures please send payment for the pictures by Monday. Today I sent home two permission notes. The first is for our field trip to Thanksgiving Point April 22nd. The second is permission for students to chew gum during testing. Did you know chewing peppermint gum increases your intelligence? Please return the note tomorrow. Check out the note for more information. ๐ Thank you for all you do.

Welcome Back! I hope everyone had a fantastic spring break. I can’t believe we are in our final quarter of school. All of your children have grown so much and they are doing a fantastic job.
Our first end of year test will be Language Arts April 17th and 18th. Our second test will be Mathematics April 30th and May 1st. Please help your children to prepare for the test by getting a good night of sleep and a healthy breakfast. Also, talk to them about what they are learning at school. Today was all about capitalization and fractions. The only homework for this month will be reading and logging reading minutes. Read, read, read!
We have a lot of fun learning activities scheduled over the next 2 months. We will keep busy preparing for testing and fourth grade. By the end of the term all of our students should have their multiplication 0-10 mastered. We will be doing a lot of drills, races, and multiplication activities. We also have a few field trips planned. The first will be to Thanksgiving point April 22nd. Permission slips will be coming home this week.
Thank you for all you do,
Mrs. Hutchinson

Also, tomorrow you need to bring in your home address. We will be learning to address envelopes tomorrow and students who bring their address will receive a letter during Spring Break.

Homework!
Only one week until spring break. Because we are learning how to use the testing program our schedule is off this week. Therefore, we will have no Words Their Way sorts. In fact, we are officially done with WTW sorts for homework. We will work with a couple of the sorts as a class but it will not be homework.
I can hear the cheers! ๐
Grades were locked on Sunday night if you need help accessing SIS please contact the front office.
The only homework this week will be reading and reading logs. Because it is the only homework reading logs are now double the points. I will send home a weekly update on reading grades. Read, read, read!
