Fractions Coming to a Classroom Near You
I realize that this is a bit cheesy. I’m wondering if you could do better. Grab a camera and make your own fraction video and I will post it on our class website.

We Have Big Dreams!
This week we spent some time learning about Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr.. We learned who he was, what he did, and how he helped others. We also learned about his “I Have a Dream Speech.” One of our assignments was to write our own dreams. Below is some of the student’s responses.
“My dream is to get better at Multiplication.”
“My dream is that my Mom’s knees will get feeling better.”
“My dream is to be a teacher.” Also “My dream is to be a millionaire.”
“My dream is to get better grades.” and “My dream is to be a mom.”
“My dream is monsters will come alive.”
“My dream is that nobody will fight.”
“My dream is to be in the air force.”
“My dream is no one would have bad dreams” and “My dream is there would be two Saturdays.”
“My dream is to be super smart.”
“My dream is that I could have magic powers and take over the world,” and “My dream is that I am a legend.”
“My dream is to have a mustang.”
“My dream is to be very very smart.”
“My dream is to jump off a space ship.”
“My dream is that I will become an incredible teacher.” and “My dream is that I can get a whole bunch of chapter books for my birthday.”
“My dream is to be a mom” and “My dream is to be a nurse.”
“My dream is to learn to be a art teacher.”
“My dream is that my mom wont have cancer anymore.”
“My dream is to have more friends.”
“My dream is mary a great husband and have 3 kids.”
I hope you enjoyed our dreams as much as I did. A few made me cry, a few made me laugh, and all of them reminded me how awesome you all are!!!

Widgets!
Widgets are mini programs that can be installed on a website. We use them all the time to link to other blogs, countdown days until special occasion, and many other functions. Today during computers we will learn how to install a widget on your blog. Below is the code we are going to need. This is what computer language looks like. Crazy right?

Class Blogs
Hello All,
I don’t know if your children have told you or not but your student now has their very own blog. Quest has just launched a pilot program that in the future will allow every student at Quest to maintain their own blog. I am very excited that we are one of the classes that gets to pilot this program. We have a few bugs to fix and some of the student’s blogs are not up and going quite yet. 🙂 We are working on the bugs I promise. Meanwhile, starting tomorrow seven students will post their morning writing on their blog. Please take a look at their blogs they are very excited about them. Also, leave a comment. The more positive feed back the students receive the more they will want to write. 🙂 Always a good thing!! Hope you are having a fantastic Tuesday.
