Congratulations! Mrs. Hutchinson’s third class won the reading competition. I am so proud of all of you that read, read, read, and read!!  As a class you read 14,656 minutes in 19 days. You are truly amazing. Thank you to all the parents who encouraged their student to read! You deserve a round of applause, or perhaps a great big bear hug from your third grader of choice. We did such a fantastic job I can’t wait to see how we do the rest of the school year. A special shout out for our top readers. These are students who read over 1000 minutes. The only homework this week is reading. Please read and log nightly. A few quick reminders. Anyone who doesn’t turn in logging minutes will not be able to participate in our reading celebration. Our competition ends December 20th at 8:30 am. All minutes must be logged by that time. No minutes will be accepted after 8:30. Last, have a great week and enjoy reading. Today was the kickoff for our Grinch week. Thursday we will have a Grinch afternoon with lots of fun Grinch activities. Your child should have brought home a permission slip tonight for a Grinch heart cookie. Please sign and return the permission slip as soon as possible. If the permission note did not make it home there is one below.
