Last week I sent home a letter and pattern describing how to make the dress, hat and gloves for our apple witches. Please see the last post I put up if you need to see the letter or pattern again. If you need me to purchase the material for your child’s apple witch, please let me know as soon as possible. If you need help sewing the dress, please send the cut out material in by Wednesday, the 10th. We will need some parent help with this activity. If you can help with sewing dresses that are brought in on Wednesday, please let me know asap. We will also need help putting our apple witches together. We will be dressing them this Friday, the 13th, from 10:00-11:30 (we might finish sooner). Please let me know if you can help with this activity.
Halloween Party!!
It’s that time of year to start planning the Halloween party that will be on Tuesday, October 31st. We will start the party after the costume parade. W will start after the parade, I’m guessing around 10:00, and it will go until 11:30. I have one parent already signed up to help with the party, but we will need at least three more parents to help plan and run a food center, craft, and two Halloween type games. Please let me know if you’re interested in helping our class.
What’s Happening in Our Class this Week!!
This week for spelling, we will be learning the long -e with the ea and ee patterns. There is a is a list of words under the homework tab is you would like to review with your child at home.
In math we are moving on to subtraction this week. We will be working on subtraction with decomposing numbers.
***Reminder that Library is every Thursday at 9:00. Please remember to be bring your books back to change out.
***Fall Break is October 19th and 20th. Wednesday, the 18th is an early out day.
