The Week of September 20th

Last Friday we kicked off our school fundraiser with an awesome assembly. We are selling Cookie Dough & Beef Jerky again this year to help fund student activities (ie field trips) and school improvements.  Your child’s student packet went home with them on Friday but below are some helpful things to know.

  • The fundraiser sale begins NOW
  • Money is due by Sept 27
  • Checks payable to: Quest Academy
  • All orders need to be entered into the Scoreboard app (code QUE699)

Watch this short, instructional video to get started on the Scoreboard app (there are also instructions in the student packet).  The code you’ll need to enter in the app for Quest is QUE699.

Thank you for your support!

Just a reminder that if you have not paid your $30.00 donation for school supplies you can pay it in the office or online under “Current Families.” Choose “Online Payments” and enter “Ms. Beckstead” and the amount.

Math: Our 3rd grade class will start working on multiplication and we are so excited. This skill is very important for third graders to master. In order for your child to be successful with memorizing all of their multiplication facts they need to be practicing at home and flash cards are a great way to practice these facts. You can find a cheap set of flash cards at the dollar store, you can print off your own online, or use index cards to create your own. No matter which flash cards you use, it is so important that your child has practice.

Below is the family letter from our math work book that explains what we are doing in class. On the second page of the letter, there is an activity to help students with multiplying by 0,1,2,5, and 10. You are not required to do the activity, it is just a suggestion if you would like your child to practice at home.

ELA: This week we’re working on Unit 1 Week 4 in our Wonders book. Below is an outline of what we will be learning.
