Mrs. Vigil's First Grade

As the school year comes to a close I want to take a moment to say thanks. Thank you for sharing your pride and joy with me. I have done my best to keep your child safe and happy this school year. I have enjoyed all the hugs, smiles and kind words your child has shared with me. Thank you for supporting all my efforts. Thank you for getting up early and driving through the rain and snow to make sure your child made it to school, for taking the time to read with your child and help them learn. And last but not least, thank you for loving your child!

Math testing will be May 1st, here are some examples of what your child will be tested on. Please take some time and review these concepts with your child. These are just examples you can come up with more.

For STEM Ms. Kailyn is planning this fun activity for STEM, based on the book Ricky the Rock That Couldn’t Roll. Please send a small flat rock to school with your child by May 6th. The rock should be big enough to draw a face on and fit well in your child’s hand. 

Next week (April 29th – May 3rd) will be the last week to check out books for the year.

The following week, (May 6-10) will be the last week the kids will go to library for the year. 

The final return date for library books is May 10th.
