You will need to give your permission for your child to collect Valentine’s at school!

If you would like to volunteer to help at the party, here is the LINK

There are 26 students in our class. If you plan on sending Valentine’s with your child, please DO NOT write who the Valentine is TO, just who it is FROM. You may attach a store bought treat if you would like. Your child will not be able to open/eat any of the Valentine’s while at school. We will be making Valentine Bags at school for your child to collect their Valentine’s in. No need to send a box from home.

Valentines Day – I will get you more information next week, but we will have a party on the 14th and pass out Valentine’s. If you would like you can send 26 Valentine’s with your child on that day, if sending a treat it needs to be store bought and wrapped.

Middle of Year Testing

Because this week is testing week, we will be doing a review week in ELA. We will be reviewing long vowel with the silent e. Make sure your are listening to your child read everyday. The passages that come home in their folders are excellent to read and reread. It will help with fluency and accuracy.

Parent Teacher Conferences will be January 31 and February 1. There will be no school on Friday February 2.

Math review for middle of year testing:

Make sure your child can count and recognize numbers to 120 and be able to tell you what number is MORE when given two numbers. Practice skip counting by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s search on You Tube, there are lots of fun songs to help with skip counting.

Get a white board or paper and have your child practice adding and subtracting within 20.
