Halloween Parade

Happy Halloween! We are excited for our annual elementary Halloween Parade that will take place on Tuesday, October 31^st, which is also a short day. Because the parade will start at 9:00am, we ask that students come to school already dressed in their costumes. For those who would like to watch the parade, please plan on bringing camping chairs or blankets to sit along the outside of either Q1 or Q2.

Costume guidelines:

Costumes should be modest and without blood or gore. Students are welcome to paint their faces and wear Halloween masks, but masks will only be worn when directed to do so by the classroom teacher (e.g. during the parade, when a class picture is taken, etc). No one should enter the school wearing a mask. Weapons and anything that depicts violence are not allowed on school property (knives, guns, swords, spears, etc.). If you have questions about costume accessories, please contact us. Just to reiterate, no blood or gore, either depicted on the costume or in makeup, is allowed.

Halloween Party

First grade parties will begin at 9:40 and go until 10:40. I will need 4 volunteers to help with the party, 3 to bring a game for a small group to play and 1 to help with the snack that I will provide, you can sign up here.

In order for your child to eat the snack at the party you will need to fill out this form.

Wednesday- SHORT DAY – PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES. Fruit Yogurt Parfait, Popcorn Chicken, Uncrustable. Bring Library Book, Folder and Backpack!

Thursday- SHORT DAY- PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES. Sandwich, Crispitos, uncrustables.

Friday- SHORT DAY- Pizza

ELA- This week we are focusing on the short u sound.

Both Wednesday and Thursday will be short days!

Monday 9th- (Hoagies and Cheeseburger) We are working on recognizing short vowel sounds in words, reviewing high frequency words and working adding and subtracting within 10!

Tuesday 10th- Field Trip in Happy Pumpkin! Make sure your child is here on time as we will be boarding the buses at 8:40. If you haven’t had a chance to pay for the field trip here is the link ! The fee is $10, that covers your child’s admission and the cost of the buses.

October 16-20

Monday- Hoagie, Wild Mikes Cheese Bites, Uncrustable.

Tuesday- Bagel & Cream Cheese, Macaroni and Cheese, Uncrustable

Wednesday- Choice of Cereal, French Toast Sticks, Uncrustable BRING BACKPACK, FOLDER, LIBRAY BOOK

Thursday- Sandwich, Corn dog, Uncrustable.

The cookie dough will be delivered on Thursday October 19. Pickup will be from 2:00-5:00 pm in Q1. We are in need of many volunteers to unload, sort and help manage the pickup of the cookie dough. If you are interested in helping, please sign up HERE.

**PLEASE NOTE: ALL cookie dough orders must be picked up that day as we have no way to store items overnight**
