Kids Bop

Our class wanted to share with all of their parents how fun we have doing the Kids Bop Shuffle for our brain breaks! They are becoming great dancers which will help them as we start working on our end of the year class play!!

Homework Week of April 4

I hope you all had a wonderful spring break!
We have a busy week ahead of ahead of us. We will be finishing up elapsed time this week. Please have your students continually tell time with an analog clock at home to help with this.
We will be having a unit with the book Cloudy With the Chance of Meatballs which will include some comparing and contrasting as well as discussing story elements. We will be comparing and contrasting in our writing as we read and discuss different cultures and what food they have brought to America.

April is national poetry month so we will be memorizing another poem this month as well!

Remember to READ at least 5 times a week for 20 minutes!
It is imperative that your child is participating in reading practice at home. Studies have shown that the more words a child read, the better their achievement is in all other areas.  We will be starting book talks where the students talk about what they read the night before.  Not only are they given homework points for reading, but they will be given participation points for discussing what they’ve read the night before. Thanks!
