August 29-September 2

Families,

Yet another great week!

The standard algorithm for multiplication started a little challenging, but by the end of the week, I was watching your students help each other and get so excited about tackling this huge math power standard! Monday and Tuesday this week we will continue multiplying and switch into Lesson 5, dividing multi-digit numbers.

In ELA we discussed long vowels, the genre of realistic fiction, focusing on the importance of rereading the text, and completed stories about how hard work can help us to get the things that we need. This week we will continue realistic fiction and rereading but will include discussing short vowels and reading text about what can lead us to rethink an idea.

***Picture day is Tuesday, your student must be in uniform for this photo. I sent home a flyer on Friday, but if it didn’t make it feel free to click on the below link and complete your order online.
