We are starting Lesson 6
Welcome to another week! A few things to note, starting this Wednesday (22 Sept) I will begin after-school math tutoring from 3:00-3:30, expect a message if I think your student could benefit from tutoring but everyone is welcome. After this week tutoring will be every Monday and Wednesday (3:00-3:30).
The cookie dough fundraiser has officially kicked off, your student should have brought home a fundraising packet on Friday.

We are looking at another exciting week of learning! Last week’s short week was busy but productive. We spent our mornings finding the volume of composite shapes and our afternoons working on the importance of rereading, rethinking ideas, and sharing many laughs as we learned about idioms. This week in math, we will finish volume for composite shapes and learn to multiply multi-digit numbers using the standard algorithm. During ELA, we will read and discuss experiences in nature, compound sentences, and homographs. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. The first day of school is complete! I hope your student enjoyed their day and feels a bit less nervous about coming back to school. It was a day filled with getting to know each other and all of the classroom procedures we will be following.
