Today we introduced the students to RazKids and demonstrated how to use the program. We strongly encourage reading at home, RazKids is one tool you can use.
Although we do not assign homework, I’m often asked for learning activities that families can choose do with their Kindergartener. The following are ideas, not requirements. Feel free to choose activities that are meaningful to your child.
For math, students can access the “Learning Games” on iReady. These math games help build math fluency (look for the fish on the bottom bar of the iReady Math page).
Weekly math packets are another way to practice the math skills we are learning in class. These packets can be found each Wednesday in the take-home folders.
Practicing handwriting (letters and numbers) and reading sight words (the sight word mat choice page has some fun ideas) are a few more additional learning activities you can do at home.
