Science Rocks!
We have been learning how the majority of soil (sand, silt and clay) comes from the break down of rocks (weathering). Students have enjoyed looking at the rocks I’ve brought in, and excited to tell me about their rock collections at home. I’ve told them they are welcome to bring in not more than 5 of their favorite rocks to show the rest of the class on Tuesday, Dec. 12 if they would like to. (Please don’t allow any rocks larger than a slice of bread so it’s not too heavy to carry in their backpacks).
