We have been practicing reading fluency as we learn about our American Heroes. We recently combined our reading skills and technology standards to create Puppet Pal presentations of a few of our American Heroes. We worked in small groups to select an American Hero story, we planned and collaborated about our Puppet Pal presentation, we practiced with our 5th grade reading buddies, and then we shared our final product with our parents during conferences. It has been a fun learning experience. Here are our presentations for your enjoyment:
