Practice Library Book

During library today, students were given a Practice Library Book. Please help your child care for this book, keep track of it and return it like they would a real library book.  Students are welcome to do the activities in the book, but help them keep it in a safe place and not bend or tear it.

Our library days are Wednesdays. Begin the routine now of returning library books EVERY Wednesday morning.  Students that take proper care of their practice book and return it on Wednesday, November 6 will be ready to check out a real book from our Quest library.

Thank you for helping teach your child how to treat borrowed books.

Station 63 Field Trip

Our visit to Fire Station 63 was fun and educational. We were able to tour the fire station, learn about the many tools on the fire truck, and see firefighter gear. We learned about fire safety and the many ways that first responders are there to help us. We were given a homework assignment to talk with our families about choosing a family meeting place. A safe meeting place is one that does not require us to cross the street. We hope you will talk about a meeting place and check your fire alarms.

Special thanks to the firefighters at Station 63 for their time and all they do for our community. Thanks to all the parents that came and shared this day with us. To view a video of our experience click the following link or view below: Fire Station Field Trip
