Thank you!
Did you know that one well can provide up to 1,000 people clean water? When a community has water from a clean well, there is less sickness. Girls can go to school, because they don’t have to spend time walking to fetch water. Families can raise more crops with clean water and their animals like chickens and goats are healthier.
Thank you for your generous donations this week!

One more day to help raise money for clean water
Did you know that 6,000 children die every day from the diseases that are found in dirty water? It seems hard for us to believe that anyone would think of filling their container with dirty water, but sometimes there is no choice. Our bodies must have water to survive.
The coins you bring will make a difference, because every $5 will give a child water for life.
Thank you for remembering your quarters today. We are looking forward to our $1 (or more) dress down tomorrow!

WHOlives water challenge continues
Did you know that girls in Africa often walk 3-4 miles every day to fetch water? It is one of their family chores. Fetching water can take all day, so many girls are not allowed to attend school. We can help more girls attend school through our donations this week.
Thank you for remembering your dimes today. If you forgot, just bring them tomorrow with your quarters!

Quest students are working together to help children in Africa have clean water.
The children in the picture are eating mashed cassava, a starchy, inexpensive root vegetable that is a good source of nutrients. Because it is very stiff, it is used like a spoon to scope up the greens (similar to spinach) served with the meal.
Thank you for remembering to bring your pennies and nickels today. If you forgot, just bring them tomorrow with your dimes!

WHOlives service learning project
Today we attended a fun assembly by WHOlives. Their mission is to bring water, health and opportunity to children in developing countries that are at great risk, due to scarce and contaminated water.
We discussed the world water crisis and were invited to participate in the Change for Water Challenge. The Challenge invites students to bring in coins throughout the week to help create a well in Africa. Students are encouraged to do chores at home or for friends and neighbors to earn the coins to bring to school each day.
Help us donate the coin of the day:
Tuesday= Pennies and Nickels
Wednesday= Dimes
Thursday= Quarters
Friday= Dollars (Dollar dress down day)![]()
