Hello and Welcome to Fifth Grade! My name is Savannah Shaw, and I look forward to getting to know you!
I received my Bachelor of Arts in History and French from Utah State University (Go Aggies!) and I’m currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Teaching from Western Governors University.
Our family loves to adventure–whether that be in the mountains, desert, or ocean. We have been lucky to explore some of the most beautiful corners of the world by hiking, biking, skiing, kayaking, snorkeling, zip lining, canyoneering, camping, and riding in our RZR. My husband and daughters are the best and bravest people I know! We love to travel, try new things, eat delicious food, and gather with friends along the way.
I have wrapped my arms around the giant redwoods of the Pacific Northwest, witnessed the original Declaration of Independence in the marble halls of our nation’s capital, dipped my toes in the white sands of the Caribbean, and walked the ancient cobbled streets of Rome. I am nowhere more at home than the ridge of my favorite mountain trail as the sun rises. The views are always worth the climb.
As you and I climb together this year, I look forward to seeing you conquer your fears and elevate your sights. I’ll be cheering for you every step of the way!
