To help cover the costs of student supplies this year, I kindly ask each student’s family to please pay a $30.00 donation. I have already purchased, labeled, and organized all of these supplies so everything is ready for students on the first day of school. Your contributions and support are greatly appreciated!
We are also asking up front for a $20 donation for a very special end of year field trip. Additional donations for field trips and class parties may be requested as their respective dates approach.
Donations can be paid to the Q1 Office on or before Back to School Night, or online here: Online Payments, marking “Other” and typing “Shaw Supplies“.
Additionally, students need to bring the following items on the first day of school:
- Headphones–Durable, hardwired, and labeled with their name. Parents will be responsible to replace broken or damaged headphones throughout the year. We use headphones multiple times throughout the day in the classroom. Please try to find high-quality headphones to last as long as possible.
- Small bag–For personal items/cell phone. No backpacks please!
- Lunch or lunch money in account
- Water bottle
The $30 donation will provide each student with:
- 1 standard size pencil box
- 10 Expo black ink ultra-fine tip dry erase markers
- 2 Expo black ink jumbo dry erase markers
- 1 individual whiteboard/clipboard
- 1 wooden ruler
- 10 pack Crayola fine tip markers
- 10 pack Crayola washable markers
- 24 pack Ticonderoga wooden pencils (sharpened)
- 2 large Paper Mate Pink Pearl erasers
- 2 red ballpoint pens
- 5 highlighters
- 2 wide-ruled composition notebooks
- 150 sheet wide-ruled filler paper
- 4 packs of sticky notes
- 2 plastic folders with 3 hole punch and inside pockets (solid black only)
- Scissors
- 6 Elmer’s glue sticks
- 2 Mr. Clean magic erasers
- Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer
- Kleenex tissues, paper towels, Band-Aids
- Gallon and sandwich sized zip lock bags
- Additional art, science, and STEM supplies
- Party favors, prizes, and treats for various learning lessons
Please note, these are the only supplies allowed; anything else will be sent home.
Notice: The items on this list will be used during the regular school day. They may be brought from home on a voluntary basis, otherwise, they will be furnished by the school.
