STEM Challenge (optional)
Quest Academy’s At-Home STEM Challenge #1
How is the Quarantine going for you? We’ve only been doing this about two weeks and we are learning a lot! We appreciate your patience with us as we change schedules and change the way you get into things. We are learning as we go and trying to find the best way to teach your kids. Here is a fun game challenge that is completely optional. I challenge the students to create a game over spring break. I would love to see what they come up with. Feel free to email me a picture of their game. ssnitker@questac.org
Have a wonderful spring break with your family!!!

Thank you for all that you are doing at home.
Parents,
After many meetings we have come up with a plan for how school will be running over the next two weeks. Administration has emailed information to all families with details about when student work and devices can be picked up.
Student Work Packets: There are 2 separate bundles in the bag, one for this week and one for next week. In the Student Packet, you will find their log in card, supplies, and all of our classwork that we will be using for the next 2 weeks. There is also a bonus sheet for a week 3 (if it comes to that, hopefully not). Please see the yellow note that indicates the times when students should log on to Google Classroom and Google Meet for live instruction. An instructional video on how to do this can be found by following this link:
http://qactube.org/index.php?action=play&media_key=1bbb26dd3e3fd7f2
Live Instruction: We will be using the Google Meet’s App for live Math and ELA instruction each day. All students are welcome to join our discussion. If students are unable to log on during the live stream, a video of the instruction will be posted to the Google Classroom Stream later that day. This will also be linked in the Google Classroom assignment for the day. We will give it a try this Wednesday and Thursday and see how it goes. *Remember, there are only 2 school days this week, as Friday is a teacher work day.
Student Login Cards: Each packet includes a student login card that includes all of the information that they will need for any of the online programs.
Please be open to changes as we figure out a routine that works for all of us. We will miss seeing all of your kids, but hope everyone stays healthy and safe. As always, please reach out if you have any questions.
Don’t lose your minds (or login cards),
Mrs. Snitker
Reading Homework (optional, but highly encouraged!!)
Please, please, please read with your child. Make it enjoyable and fun. You can even read to them!! 20 minutes a day is a great goal. Remember to fill out your monthly reading log if you want a prize. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Math in Class
We are taking a break from 2 step word problems, but we will come back to them and test the week before Spring Break. This week we will be working on adding and subtracting 3-digit numbers. Please watch for practice pages to come home. I know homework is optional, but if you could talk about it at home, it would be greatly appreciated.
