Valentines Day
Valentines Day is just around the corner and the students may bring Valentines they would like to give out starting Monday. If the students would like to label their valentines, there is a link to the class list below. In accordance with the school’s health plan, no candy may be included in their valentines, but you may include small trinkets if you wish. Please remember this is an optional activity, and that if your student gives to one child, he/she needs to give to all children in the class.
Valentine List
Our Multiplication Madness Celebration will also be held on Wednesday. Thank you advance if you have signed up to bring or send something on this day. We are still in need of 1 1/2 gallon of strawberry ice cream. If you are volunteering, we will be setting up in the gym around 1:30.
Field Trip
We are so excited for our field trip on Thursday. Please remember to be at the Front Runner Station in Roy by 8:15 so we can take roll, help put wristbands on students and chaperones, and be ready to board the 8:45 train. A couple of important reminders:
* All students in our class are bringing a lunch from home, that they are responsible to take with them throughout the day. Please remind them this is not their chaperone’s responsibility. There are no microwaves available.
* We have not scheduled time in the gift shop and all students AND adults should not go in the gift shop
* Please do not send money with your child to purchase anything at the Planetarium Gift Shop, or Concession Stand
* Please dress for the weather
* Plan to learn a lot while having a fabulous time!
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences are next week. If you haven’t signed up, we would love to have you do so by Wednesday of this week. You may sign up by going to our Bloomz community, and choosing a time that is convenient for you. If you have not signed up for Bloomz, please follow this link: Bloomz Sign Up and enter the code: EHTCX7
We look forward to celebrating your child’s successes with you!
Reading
Math
This week we will focus on Partitioning Number Lines, and Comparing Fractions. We will also continue to work independently to master the concepts that have been introduced up to this point in the year. It’s exciting to see the progress our students are making as they work towards mastering the third grade concepts and being introduced to new concepts from the 4th grade core.
Homework
Reading: Please continue to read at least 20 minutes daily. This will help them with fluency, vocabulary acquisition, and comprehension.
Math: A great way to reinforce math is to choose either Prodigy Game or Front Row Ed. Prodigy is set to help them review all concepts and Front Row’s Adaptive Practice is a great place to work on a concept your child is struggling with mastering.
We love your children and feel it is a privilege to be a part of their lives. Thank you for sharing them with us!
