2nd Grade Holiday Gift Baskets
It’s competition time! The 2nd grade team has decided that the theme for our basket(s) will be the University of Utah or BYU. To make this happen, we need some donations from family/friends. Be creative and fun with the donations so that they will fit our theme. Think of what you would use if you went to a tailgate party, if you sat in the stands, or if you wanted to wear something representative of the school. Feel free to ask companies for donations, purchase items, or re-gift items. All donations are due no later than Wednesday, November 12, 2014. The baskets will be on display Nov. 17-20, 2014. The drawing for the “People’s Choice” basket will be on Friday, November 21.
Please help us out by donating something from the U of U or BYU. Remember, you can donate “gently used” items! Thanks for your help!

Utah Utes and Math
Some of you may have heard that we are doing regrouping using the Utah Utes Football stats. We are expecting to receive signed pictures from the team and will use them as inspiration as we continue adding yards passed, yards rushed, and points scored. The kids are so excited that the pictures are coming and they are having so much fun adding “big” numbers.

Family Turkey Project
Good morning!
Today your child will be bringing home their Family Turkey Project sheet. The object is to decorate the turkey so that no one can tell it’s a turkey-therefore, he won’t get eaten for Thanksgiving. He can be disguised as anything your child likes. Feel free to use anything (except crayons or markers) to decorate him with. The turkeys can be brought in any day between now and November 7th. As they come in, I will hang them in the hall for all to see. I’ve attached a few pictures so that you can see what others have done in the past.

Homework
Good morning!
I wanted to remind you that homework needs to be submitted on Friday, or at the earliest, on Thursday night. When you submit the homework, it gives me the date/time that it is submitted. Homework can be submitted after Friday only if your child was absent on Friday. After Friday, they will not receive any credit for it. This morning I received 5 homework submits and I don’t know if they are for this week’s or last week’s (if last week, they are late) homework.
Thanks for all you do!
