Field Trip

Tomorrow is our field Trip to Antelope Island.  We will be leaving at 9:00 so please don’t be late.  We should be back by 1:00.  Please have your child bring a sack lunch and a bottle of water with their name on it.  There may be very little water there and we don’t want anyone to be dehydrated.  No lunch boxes or soda please 🙂  They should wear their spirit shirt or  a red polo.  Regular dress code applies for shorts and pants.  Make sure they wear tennis shoes since they will be doing a lot of hiking.  Chaperones, we are hoping to be able to fit all of you on the bus but be ready in case you have to drive.  I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Field Trip to Antelope Island

Good morning!  Just a reminder that Friday, May 10th, is our class Field Trip.  We are leaving at 9:00.  If you show up after 9:00 you will have to stay with another teacher 🙁  For those parents who are going, there is a $1 charge for you to get in.  We hope that all the parents will be able to fit on the buses.  However, if there is not enough room then you are welcome to drive to Antelope Island.  IF you drive, when you get to the entrance tell the person that you are with our group and you will only have to pay the $1 entrance fee and not the $9 fee the normally charge.  Also, I will be assigning groups of children to you.  Please watch your groups carefully and make sure they follow all the rules. Make sure your child brings a bag lunch with their name written on it.  Soda is against school rules.  No siblings are allowed 🙁

05/06-Kickball Day 05/07-Laughing Day-COme prepared to share an appropriate joke with the class. 05/08-Marker Day-We can do all of our assignments in marker. 05/09-Nice Note Day-Students will write a note to someone who has done something nice for them. 05/10-Outside Field Trip Day-Wear your Red or White plop for the field trip.

Alphabet Days for the Week of April 29

04/29-F Day-Fun in the Sun-We will have some of our lessons outside (weather permitting). 04/30-G Day-Game Day-Bring a board game to play.  Games will be kept in a safe place during the day and will be played during the last 30 minutes of school.  No video games! 05/01-H Day-Hooray For You Day!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           05/02-I Day-Imagination Day                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       05/03-J Day-Jump Rope Day

26 Days Countdown

The end of the year is almost here!  We are going to count down the last 26 days by celebrating a letter of the alphabet each day.  Participation in these extra ideas will be based on student behavior in class.  The countdown will start on Monday, April 22nd.  Let’s make the rest of our 2nd grade the Best Year Ever!   4/22-4/26 A-Art Day-We will be doing a fun art project. B-Baby Picture Day-Please bring a baby picture of yourself, with your name on the back. C-Celebration Day-We will celebrate all we’ve learned this year! D-Dancing Day-We will have some fun dance time in class. E-Experiment Day-We will be doing a couple of experiments.

Animal Power Point Presentations

Our animal powerpoints will be presented on Thursday, APril 25th from 1:30-3:00.  We hope that you will be able to come and see all the hard work your child has done.  We will start promptly at 1:30 so everyone has time to show theirs. We hope to see you on the 25th!
