No homework for the week of 12/17
There will be no homework this week 🙂 Please have your children work on their math facts. We have had 7 students pass off on Fastt Math Addition and they are now on Fastt Math Subtraction! I would love to have everyone pass off–keep working on those math facts!
Also, Friday, December 21st will be our Christmas Party. It is scheduled for 11:00-12:00. After lunch we will be having a class gift exchange. Please remember to brig a gift for our exchange. It should be $5 or less. Remember, girls buy for girls and boys buy for boys. Thanks to those 9 students who have already brought their gift in 🙂

Christmas Party
Our class Christmas Party will be on December 21st. On Friday, your child brought home a card talking about our gift exchange. Please take the time to read this card and return it. Our room mom would love to know how how many children will be participating in the gift exchange. If you can’r participate, let us know and we will try to help you out. Remember, if you have a boy, you need to buy for a boy and the same for the girls. Please wrap the gift but do not but a name on it. Please write “boy” or “girl ” on the outside. Thanks and I know the children will love this!

The Naked Turkey Project
Just a reminder that the last day to turn the Naked Turkey Project in is Monday, November 12. If your child turns it in after that date, it will be considered late and 1 point will be deducted for each day that it’s late. I hope your child enjoyed this project. Stop by and see how great our turkeys look 🙂

Toys at school
I wanted to let you know that 2nd grade has now instituted a “no toy” policy. Please do not let your child bring beyblades, balls, stuffed animals, coloring books, etc. to school. They will not be allowed to take them outside. If they bring them, they will “clip down” and we will keep the toy until you can pick it up. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Report Cards
The last day of this quarter is October 26. Reports will be ready next week. This year we are going “paperless” so your child will not be bringing a report card home. You can go to SIS and print one when they are ready. Also there are no “dress down” days in October. Even tho Halloween is an early-out it is not a dress down day.
