Field Trip reminders :)
Just a reminder that our field trip is on Friday, September 29th. We will be going to Green Acres and will be leaving at 10:00 and returning at 1:00. Please have your child wear a red school polo shirt. Also, if they will be bringing their lunch from home , remember there is no microwaves or refrigerators where we are going. Please send food items that don’t have to be cooked or kept cold. Brown paper bags or plastic bags with their names on it are easier because they can throw them away instead of having to carry them around during the field trip.
Since we are not leaving until 10:00, your child will be doing normal school activities (STEM Lab) until then. If you will be a chaperone, please make sure you are here at 9:45 so I can give you your list of kids. If you haven’t paid the $5 for the trip, please send it in to the office.
The following parents are Field Trip Chaperones. If something changes and you can’t make it, please let me know ASAP so I can get a replacement.

2nd Grade Reading Challenge
We are doing an ice cream reading challenge! I am so excited to work with Farm Bureau financial services to pay for ice cream if the students read!!
Heres how it works:
So… How much do you have to read to earn the whole ice cream sunday??
440 MINUTES
Heres what each part of their sundae is worth:
Bowl= 20 min.
Spoon= 20 min.
Banana= 40 min.
1st scoop= 60 min.
1st scoop’s fudge= 40 min.
1st scoop’s cream/sprinkles= 40 min.
Cherry on top= 20 min.
2nd scoop= 60 min.
2nd scoop’s fudge= 40 min.
2nd scoop’s cream/sprinkles= 40 min.
3rd scoop= 60 min.
3rd scoop’s fudge= 40 min.
3rd scoop’s cream/sprinkles= 40 min.

Reading Log
Heres how it works:
- Students will read as much as they can and earn parts of an ice cream sundae!
- Parents will sign a weekly count of minutes for your student.
- Students will turn in their count every Monday!
- Sign this permission form to allow your kids to have an ice cream sundae.

Prodigy

Field Trip
If you haven’t signed the permission slip for our Field Trip on 09/29, please make sure to do it today. I am missing 2 students (Rhylan and Griffin). The parent volunteers that were the first to respond are: Rockwell, Preston, Ella, Camden, Isaiah, and Dayzi. If you have not paid the $5 for the field trip, please get it in as soon as possible 🙂

Back to School Night is tonight!
