Math Addition and Subtraction Fluency

fact fluency
One thing I noticed as I finished up grades and final assessments in math is that a lot of students are still struggling with adding and subtracting within 10 fluently. Students were given a math timed test and their goal was to do 20 in a minute. You can check your child’s grades to see what their mastery scores was out of 100. A score of 80 and above is considered mastered.

To help your child this summer here are the Addition and Subtraction Fluency Timings we used to practice as well as Harder Math Timings 10-20 they can do to help them be ready for 2nd grade! For these timings I gave them 1 minute and 15 seconds to complete 25 problems. You can also go to any store and find flash cards to help. But here are a few addition ones I found that Mrs. Teichert had made. Addition Flash Cards (1)

Thanks for sharing your children with us! We have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each one of them.
