Week of October 30th

This week is going to be a busy one! We have Halloween and Red Ribbon Week. See flyer for details on ways we are going to embrace saying no to drugs!

HALLOWEEN

We have a lot of fun planned for Halloween on Tuesday! We will be having our annual Halloween Parade starting at 9:00am. For those who would like to watch the parade, please plan on bringing camping chairs or blankets to sit along the outside of either Q1 or Q2.

Please remember and follow our school’s costume guidelines:

  • Costumes should be modest and without blood and gore
  • Face paint and masks are allowed, however masks will only be worn when directed by the teacher
  • Weapons or anything that depicts violence is not allowed

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Mon Oct 30-Friday Nov 3 – Red Ribbon Week
  • Tuesday, Oct 31 – Halloween – Early Out @ 1:10
  • Wednesday, Nov 1st – Teacher Work Day – NO SCHOOL
  • Nov 20-24 – Thanksgiving Break – NO SCHOOL

MATH – This week we will move to lesson 9. We will use grouping to make multiplication easier to solve and then use place value to multiply. Please make sure that you are practicing the multiplication facts with your child at home.

ELA: This week we will continue working on Unit 2 Week 3 in our Wonders program. Below is an outline of what we are learning in class. Our emphasis will be on making predictions to identify the theme of the story.
