Titanic Project

Over the past few weeks we have been learning about the Titanic.  Each student has been given a real passenger or crew member to research and write a report about. As a fourth grade we would like to end our unit with a wall-sized diorama of the Titanic.  Each class has been given a section of the ship to create.  Each student has been partnered up to make a replica, the best they can, of a specific room on the ship.   This display will be in the front entryway of the school for others to view.

Tomorrow, April 20, we will begin creating our rooms. The students have already researched and planned how they are going to create their spaces. I have most of the supplies they will need. However, if there is something specific they would like to use such as scrapbook paper, modeling clay, fabric, etc., they may bring those supplies tomorrow. Please note that the tissue boxes we use as the base do not hold a lot of weight. Carpet samples or wooden doll furniture are too heavy for the box to support.

We are excited to share what we have learned!
