Homework

I am adding one optional component to our class’s homework that I think can greatly influence the students’ reading abilities.  Each week I will give our class online access to the book that we are reading in small group.  If the student reads it at home with an adult or older sibling, they will receive extra Dojo points for the week.  For those who cannot access the book online, I have a few extra copies that I can check out to you.  I will need a parent note if this is the case.  Please know that these are brand new books and will need to be replaced if lost or damaged. 

This book can be found by clicking on the “Wonders” icon in “Student Links.”  From there they will know how to login to their account and find the assignment in the “To Do” list.  It will be labeled “Weekly Leveled Reader.”  I’m excited for the potential growth that this specific practice can provide!
