Parents, I just sent home their FIRST baggy book this week. Another teacher was so kind enough to let me try them out this year. These will sometimes seem much lower than your child’s ability, this is done for a reason. We want the students to be able to look and say the word with just a quick glance, and practicing with these early readers does the trick. Please read the parent letter and BE VERY CAREFUL with these books. As they are not mine, I will have to charge a $35 dollar fee to replace her books for her. The buddy books will be changed daily in the mornings if the sign off sheet is signed- the students are bringing home the same books today to practice. Students should be turning in their homework folders each morning with their buddy books inside. I cannot emphasize enough that great care must be taken with this books.
