A quick reminder: The Fourth Grade Utah History program is tomorrow night, Thursday April 28th at 6:30PM. Students need to come in their best attire (or Quest uniform if they prefer) and be here on the bleachers by 6:20. Come early to see their digital displays.
Additionally, to celebrate our hard work and GREAT behavior, we are having a Read-A-Thon on Friday. Students can bring a few small snacks to munch on, no drinks. They will not be able to share their treat with other students. They will drink their water from their water bottle during the event. Books and liquids don’t mix. We will be reading our class novel “Bunnucula.” Students will need to bring their books back from home Friday morning. They must be caught up in the reading to participate. We have read chapters #1-#7. Please encourage your child to read nightly.

We are having a Utah Program at Quest (Q1) Academy. All of the 4th grade students will be singing different Utah songs for you. Best dress (what you would wear to a wedding or church) or school uniform please. Along with singing, 8 students from our room will have speaking parts. These parts need to be memorized. The parts have about three sentences in them. WE are excited to entertain you all! Invite everyone you know to come-no limit! All of the 4th grade kids have created something to show you about our beautiful state. Come earlier enough to walk around and see their creations.
We have been working hard to earn class rewards and will be redeeming those THURSDAY and FRIDAY!
Thursday is “wear something comfy” day. I will have our room set up to be a “glow room.” Kids can wear comfy clothes that “glow.” White and neon colors work well. They may also bring a stuffed animal to have on their desk too. We will be working in our room using flashlights and lite screens for part of the day. The majority of the time, will have the room lights on as normal.
Stuffed animals may come Thursday and Friday. Additionally, we are have a technology day FRIDAY as an additional reward. I will have iPads available for them to use if you would rather they not bring a device from home. If they bring a device from home, please note that it will not be able to connect to the school’s wifi.
Also, if it gets broken or stolen, our school (or myself) will not be held responsible for any damage. Talk to your student about what they can be on if they use their phones for this activity. Other student will not be able to share devices, if I can’t monitor the screen/games they are on. The party will be for 1 hour before lunch. Lastly, they can have another stuffed animal in class Friday as well.
Friday is crazy hair day, dress in their normal uniform. They may have uniform pants on and a spirit shirt too.
The Museum on the Move will visit from the Natural History Museum of Utah tomorrow! They will be sharing the excitement of science with your child. Specifically, Archaeology – Utah’s People and Culture. Our class time is 8:45 AM – 10:15 AM try to be on-time.
Additionally, they have asked this of us: Out of respect for our educators and the other 4th grade classrooms they visit, we request that students wear masks during our time with you, though we understand that this is not always possible. We’ll be wearing our masks, and we are doing our best to provide a safe experience for your students.
Lastly, tomorrow is a $$$Dollar Dress Down Day.

Our class will be passing out Valentine’s cards Monday, February 14th at 2:30. Students may bring a Valentine’s box to collect their special notes. If they don’t bring one, I will provide a bag for them to use. It is optional to bring Valentine’s card/prize to pass out, if they do, they need to bring enough for 26 students. Please don’t address them to a specific kids. Simply, sign them.

We can have STORE bought treats this year in addition to any other prizes you want to attach to cards. Please talk to your child about what they are allowed to eat and how much they should be eating. Our card exchange will be 30 minutes before school lets out.
