Reader Response Letters Volunteer Opportunity

Dear Parents,

As your students may have already told you, they will be writing me bi-weekly letters detailing their reflections on the books they’re reading.  (See the post titled “Reader Response Prompts” for more information.)  After I receive the letters from students, I will turn around and write back to them about their letters to me.  This will be a way for us to have running, written conversations all about books!  I will be able to offer book recommendations and answer questions, and I hope my students will do the same for me!

As you may guess, I’m anticipating the process of writing a response letter to each of my Library Skills students every other week to take awhile.  That is precisely why I’m requesting your assistance!  If any of you would like to help me write letters back to students, it would definitely ease my burden, and I’d greatly appreciate it!  You could either write the letters here at the school or arrange a time to pick up their letters and respond to them at your home.  Letters will be due every Friday, and I would need to have the response letters back the following Monday.
