Genre Book Reports

Each term, Library Skills students will be required to read a book from a specific genre and complete a book report on their chosen book.  The book must be from one of the following genres:  Fantasy, Historical Fiction, Memoir, Mystery, Realistic Fiction, Science Fiction, or Adventure.  The document below is a very well-done list that offers book suggestions for each of these genres and more.

Middle School Book Lists by Genre

After reading their chosen genre books, students need to complete ONE of the “50 Alternatives to the Book Report” options from the document below.  (This document must be brought to class and stapled into composition notebooks.)  These book reports will allow students to be creative while still showing me that they have read and remember details about their books.  The completed Genre Book Reports for this term will be due by Thursday, March 10th.  Let me know if you have any questions, and have fun with this!
