The homework folder was sent home with your student today. Please make sure they have these.  I had a few kiddos who did not turn them in.  Thank you to those who returned the weekly report.  Students who turned them in on time received class money.  
In the homework folder is a family letter about what we are doing in math this week.  Please take some time to go over this with your child.  We started covering it today and they could use the practice at home.  The activity will help them to better understand the concept.  
A reading log will not be sent home until next week.  Remember, we are doing monthly reading logs.  So I will send home the September reading log next week.

Wednesday, August 29th is Picture Day!  Students need to be in uniform.

If you received an email from the school regarding an APA student registration, please click on that link and get that done as soon as possible.  Unless this is done, students will not be allowed to use the Ipads or computers.  We will start using these in the next few days.
Also, some students are still needing to bring in their supplies.  Specifically, a few students did not have their composition notebooks to use for writing this morning.  Please ask your student if they were one of the few who did not have those.  Headphones are also going to be used with our technology.  I will be sending individual emails at the end of the week for student who are still missing important supplies.  The supply list is still on my blog. The first day is always tough!  But these guys were troopers!  We have early out days all week.  This is what our flexible seating looked like today during independent work.  Many students liked working together today.  There are even seating options that allow students to work in a quieter space on their own.  It was a really great first day!  We practiced procedures, talked about class jobs, read together, and discussed bullying.  A small writing and coloring activity is now posted on our bulletin board in the hallway.  Feel free to check it out!

Back to School Night!

I would like to sincerely thank all of you for allowing me to teach your amazing children!  This was such a hard class to say goodbye to.  I learned so much from each of them and enjoyed our time together.  You, as parents, were also amazing and Mrs. Snitker and I had a great time!  Thank you all for everything you have done!  I will miss this class so much and know that they will be amazing 3rd graders!

For this one, there is a username and password for your child.  I will send that information individually.

2.   This is a great resource for those kiddo’s that can’t get to the public libraries that much over the summer.

3.    The following is for Barnes & Noble books stores.   All the kiddos have to do is read 8 books, write some info in a journal that they can print off  & take to the store to choose a FREE book.  The list of free books are great!

Wednesday- X (Xtra nice day)  We will do something nice for another class
