My name is Ashlie Cashin. I absolutely love using technology in the classroom! I feel very passionate that our students using technology in the classroom will expand their abilities and encourage confidence. I really like the following saying, this is my motto!
“Technology is a learning tool, not a learning solution”
Technology is designed to help us accomplish things more quickly and efficiently. It’s true; learning new technology may take some time in the beginning. But like any other skill, once learned, it can be used over and over. By taking the time to teach strong technology skills early, you can prepare your students to accomplish so much more in the future. You will be giving them yet another set of tools and skills from which they can draw to achieve their own learning goals. In time, these skills will become habits, and students will be able to focus more intently on other learning objectives.
