Library Day and Library Reading Challenge

Yeah!!! Tomorrow is library day.
Please make sure your student comes with their library book so they can check out a new book. Also, I added a link to for the “Library Reading Challenge” to our class blog.

Last year we were neck to neck with Mrs. Dunmeyer’s class and then, at the very end took second place…I would love for our class to be the first grade winner this year! Yes, I can be a little competitive, but it’s such a great challenge with a fun reward at the end right? Please help our class out by adding your weekly reading minutes. It won’t take but a minute or two…

WHERE IN THE WORLD WILL READING TAKE YOU?”

This year for the library’s reading challenge, we will submit reading minutes to travel across the continents. At the end of the year one class per grade will win the fabulous prize for the most reading minutes. In addition, the student(s) with the most reading minutes will qualify for a prize.

What is your role in this reading challenge?  Simply click on the “Library Reading Challenge” tab on our class blog and complete the online form each week.  Because these reading minutes will only be available to the librarian,  you will still need to complete our regular reading log to receive homework credit for reading.
