****The kids are super excited to kick off the holiday season, and get started creating this years FIRST GRADE CLASS BOOK.  It will be published this spring however, this project is VERY time intensive and takes months to complete.
The village project is the FIRST PHASE in the creation of our 1st grade class book.
Our book is going to be a combination of Christmas stories and wishes with pictures of each student’s HOME AND YARD.

  •    We are going to create a North Pole Village and need your help!!! Your student came home FRIDAY with a WHITE piece of card stalk in their homework folder.

  • 1st….. Please help your student mount their card stalk to some type of cardboard to make it stronger. This is the base for their project.

  • 2nd… Help them create a house AND yard. We talked  about what it might look like in SANTA’S NORTH POLE  VILLAGE and things they could use to CREATE their house. THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF THINGS WE THOUGHT MIGHT BE FUN  TO USE when making a house and yard.. sugar cubes, painted or paper covered small milk cartons, graham crackers, ginger bread, candy, cotton balls. Feel free to add animals, and any landscaping elements they want.

  • 3rdBring the finished project school Friday, December 8th. We will create our North Pole Village by putting each block together. I can’t wait photograph our village for our book. We will also be visiting the North Pole Friday, as we board the Polar Express in the afternoon. It’s sure to be a forever first grade memory!
