TEST TOMORROW: Worksheets and examples for Regrouping

I taught the kids a fun chant to help them remember the steps to regrouping. They love it and found it to be VERY helpful. It goes as follows:
Regrouping, Regrouping
Make a Ten and Move It, Make a Ten and Move it!
Leave the Ones, Leave the ones. Have them do the actions and voice with it…They are a hoot!!!

I used the markers and the “1st and 2nd” in an effort to let YOU know what we have been modeling and the order. (I also taught the kids BRIEFLY,  because some were ready to “Stack and Add the ones ….then Move/Carry the Ten.” I hope this helps! Happy Adding!!!
1.) Put a box around the math sentence/equation you are trying to solve so you can be thinking about it while you work.
2.) Build your model/picture
3.) THEN: Begin
Regrouping, Regrouping
Make a Ten and Move It, Make a Ten and Move it!
Leave the Ones, Leave the ones.
