Field trip Reminders for Tomorrow!!

We are super excited to head to Salt Lake City to the Clarke Planetarium tomorrow.  Here are a few friendly reminders:
*Students need to be at the Roy Front Runner station no later than 8:15 AM. Teachers will be there at 8:00 AM if you’d like to drop your children off earlier.
*Students need to be dressed in full uniform with badges.  I will send badges home with students today so they remember to wear them tomorrow morning.  Students need to wear comfortable shoes because we will be walking quite a bit.
*Students need to bring a backpack that will hold their lunches, a water bottle, and a jacket.
*Students can bring a book to read, a game to play or a tablet (with parent’s permission) for the train ride.  Please remember that if your child brings something, it is their responsibility to keep up with it.  
*The train will arrive back to the Roy Front Runner station at 2:45 PM . Please pick your child up from the Front Runner station before you head to Quest to pick up your other children.

Field trip Permission slips returned tomorrow!

Just a friendly reminder that the field trip permission slips are due back tomorrow.  Also, all parents that would like to come need to pay $6.00 to the front office by tomorrow as well. This money will cover the adult admission into the Clarke Planetarium.  Please keep in mind that all parents that sign up to come on the field trip with us will get a small group of students that you will be in charge of throughout the day.  Thanks so much for all your willingness to help!

Homework for February 16-19th

I hope everyone had an awesome President’s Day weekend!  I had a nice break in Seattle for the weekend…Yay! 🙂 Thanks for all the parents that helped on Friday with the Multiplication Madness Party!  Also, thanks for all the donations of vanilla ice cream and carmel topping.  It seems like the students had a great time!

Don’t forget to return permission slips for the field trip by Wednesday, February 17th.  Also, parents that would like to join us at the Clarke Planetarium need to pay $6.00 to the office by Wednesday as well.  Thanks so much!

**There are NO WTW spelling sorts this week since we have a short week.**
For math, we are finishing up fractions of a set and starting comparing fractions.

Reminder about tomorrow!

Just a friendly reminder that we have our Multiplication Madness ice cream sundae party tomorrow (February 12th) from 1:30-3:00.  Please remember that our class is in charge of all the vanilla ice cream and carmel topping for the whole third grade.  We are still in need of vanilla ice cream.  If you already told me you’d bring ice cream and carmel, thank you so much!  I appreciate all you do!  Could you possibly bring an ice cream scooper as well?? 🙂

Don’t forget to bring 23 Valentine’s Day cards to your classmates tomorrow too!  Please just sign your name to make the passing out easier.  Also, please bring a box or bag to take your Valentine cards home in.  

I hope everyone has a nice long Valentine’s Day and President’s Day weekend!

Another February Field trip :)

We have the opportunity to go to the Clarke Planetarium on Wednesday, February 24th.  I know it’s late notice, but we just barely found out about it.  We will be taking the Front Runner to and from the Planetarium.  There is a link you can click on that reviews the itinerary for that day.  Please read the permission slip well, sign and return it to your child’s teacher by Wednesday, February 17th.  This field trip is completely FREE for ALL STUDENTS!  We have plenty of room for parents to come on this field trip with us, but you need to pay ahead of time in the office if you want to get in with a cheaper admission price of $6.00. We are excited to take part in this educational experience.  The students will learn all about the sun and the moon!

Homework for February 8-12th

Happy Valentine’s Day week!  We will be sharing the LOVE for sure this week!
On Friday, we will not be having an actual Valentine’s Day Party, but the students will be passing out Valentine’s to their classmates.  Have your children bring them on Friday to school.  I ask that you only have your child sign each Valentine and not write who it they are giving them to.  IT makes passing them out a lot quicker if they only write who they are from.  Thanks so much for your help with that.  Also, remember no candy with your Valentine Cards, but you can attach pencils, erasers, etc.  Just have fun and be creative!  There are 23 students in our class.  Also, on Friday the students can bring a bag or a box to put their Valentine cards inside.  We will not make anything at school to put them in.

We would love any parent volunteers to help serve ice cream sundaes on that day. Please let me know if you are able to volunteer. Our class is in charge of bringing vanilla ice cream and squeeze carmel topping. Please comment on this post if you are willing to donate, so we know what we still need to buy.
