We had such a fun time on our field trip Friday at the Living Planet Aquarium. Thanks for all the parents that came and volunteered with us. We had a blast! Here are some pics! Sorry if I missed any students! I tried to get around and get pictures of everyone.
I hope everyone has had a great Memorial Day weekend! I just wanted to remind parents and students about all the things that we have on Tuesday. We have our class play/performance at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, May 26th. WE are all so excited to share it with everyone! The students also have the third grade pizza and movie party by POQA from 12:00-1:00. Students do not need to send a school lunch. Just a heads up that they will be providing Domino’s Pizza (cheese and pepperoni options), Lofthouse cookies and juice boxes for the students. This party is for all the Box Tops monthly competitions we won throughout the year. The students need to bring their tie dyed t-shirts back to school on Tuesday and we will wear them throughout the week over their uniforms.
Just a few reminders for tomorrow: 1-First of all, each student will be coming home with their tie dye t-shirts tonight. The students need to wear them with jeans tomorrow (Dress Down). They will need to wear their name badge. 2-Every child needs to be at the Roy Front Runner station no later than 8:15 am. 3-Each child needs to bring a backpack with their lunch and a water bottle. A jacket might be a good thing to wear as well. They will be carrying their own things for the entire day. **Please make sure all students go to the bathroom before they get to the Front Runner Station. The train is not equipped to handle over 100 students going to the bathroom.
DON’T FORGET THAT YOU WILL PICK YOUR CHILD UP FROM THE FRONT RUNNER AT 3:45 PM!!

We had to change our 3rd Grade Party to next Tuesday, May 26th. POQA will be feeding the students pizza for lunch, so your children do not need to send lunch that day. We will also be having some activities that day and watch a movie together as a grade. Students need to bring their tie dye shirts with them on this day. They will get to wear them over uniforms during the 3rd grade games. Thanks!
Attention to all students with birthdays in June and July. We will have a birthday celebration on Wednesday, May 20th for all summer birthdays. We celebrated all August birthdays at the beginning of the year. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it looks like we will be celebrating Aiden, Maggie, Austin Walker and Colby’s birthdays. Yay!
Just a reminder that we are done with all homework that needs to be turned in on Fridays. Please DO NOT forget that every student needs to turn in a May Great Brain Report and pass off a May poem by the last day of school. Also, this is a reminder for the Dress Rehearsal that is planned for Tuesday, May 19th at 2:00 PM in the Q1 gym. ALL COSTUMES MUST BE AT SCHOOL ON THAT DAY!!
Parents and Students, Just want to give you all a heads up about what the plans are for this Friday, May 15th. We will be painting the back drop for the class play, and we will be the-dying our class t-shirts. The students will need to wear school uniforms, but if you’d like to send an old t-shirt, apron, etc… that would be totally fine. If any parents would like to come and help us paint the back drop, we would love any artistic help! Thanks in advance!
Guess What??? This is our LAST week of homework!!! Isn’t that exciting??? We are starting to wind down for summer. This is the last week of SAGE testing. Just a reminder that we have our SAGE MAth tests on this Tuesday and Thursday from 8:40-9:40, so please make sure all students are on time.
Please make sure you read, sign and return the permission slip for the field trip to the Living Planet Aquarium on May 22nd. Please pay the $2.00 to the front office for your child to attend. Also, any parents that would like to come need to pay $7.00 to the front office for admission. Thanks!
